[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]Oriental Rug Cleaning Miami : This is a photo of a happy rug tech having fun taking  on this rug restoration project. Him and a team of employees enjoying another day here at the Oriental Rug Care plant. The story behind this rug is just amazing. It’s known as the Wet and Jet!

This rug came in the other day and Bill, the Owner of Oriental Rug Care asked Jamie, our plant manager, “Is that an Oushak rug?” She said it wasn’t and she explained that the customer who called us to pick up this rug said his carpet used to have bright vibrant colors.  He had an oriental rug cleaner steam cleaned his rug in the house which stripped the rug of its color; therefore, making it look like at first glance an oriental rug. He was amazed so he went on his hands and knees to look at the back and also feel for the softness that an oriental rug usually has. And wow was he ever amazed it really wasn’t an Oushak.

This was a very unfortunate event for the customer, but an all too well very common scenario with oriental rug cleaners steam cleaning a customer’s area rug, in the customer’s home. Let me briefly explain to you what happened to this customer’s rug that was steam cleaned in Oriental Rug Cleaning Miami, FL.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3605″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]When a steam cleaner steams carpet they usually apply a high PH degreaser as a pre-spray on the rug that loosen up the fibers so when extreme heat hits the carpet, it makes the carpet look new. In cases of wool rugs, it strips the color and also makes the dyes that make up the designs un- stable so then the dyes start to bleed into each other. In the trade, it is called wet and jet. Get the check, run to the check-cashing store, and who cares what happens next because money is in hand. Any reputable and experienced carpet cleaner would never steam clean a wool oriental rug in a house. Bleeding a rug just to make a few dollars.

As you can see and read from the Oriental Rug Care website, is that dusting, removal of the dry particles from deep inside the pile, is the most important part of rug cleaning and this must be done in the plant. We wish we could bring back the color of this carpet but it isn’t possible other than re-dying it. Honestly, that option is just too expensive to be done at our shop. We have no problem doing small dye jobs, but this 8 X 10 rug would cost a small fortune and a good business has to no the limitation.

Please do not be fooled by Internet offers of 30% off rug cleaning. Always interview your rug cleaning professional by going to their rug shop and make sure they operate a real rug cleaning company. At our shop we do not even have a hot water heater nor any hot water here except to make our delicious expressos! All cleaning is done individually and all stains are treated. We never use high PH cleaning chemicals. The world of knowledge that we have acquired from years of experience and also by connections we have made with other people operating rug cleaning plants that are members of our industry trade organization ARCS.

Even with the price of gas getting expensive we still offer free pick up and delivery services.  Give us a call and we will give you a free estimate. Don’t let one of those steam cleaners WET AND JET your rugs!
