Miami Rug cleaning

We are Oriental Rug Care, Miami rug cleaning company or if you were doing a google search for our company rug cleaning Miami.  Rug cleaning Miami is the highest searched term when looking for a real rug cleaning company, not just a carpet cleaning company that is looking to make a few bucks coming over to your home and steam cleaning your carpets with harmful chemicals that aren’t good for the wool.  You see in our shop we wash rugs all day, treating the front side for the rug for stains the washing the rug.  We then flip it over and wash the back side too.  I bet you never saw the carpet cleaner do that?  The rug is flipped back to the front side to flush out the cleaning solutions that were used.  More fresh water is used to make sure the rug is neutralized before we hang it up to dry.  Once dried, we power brush the rug looking it over for quality control then we roll it up and and return the rug to the customer. This is what we do all day long six days a week.  Since we do a lot of antique rugs and modern rugs we need to have highly skilled employees that can identify rugs and stains.  This experience is only obtained over time.  We take care of our employees because we don’t want to have to retrain employees. Learning proper rug cleaning is a continuing education  that involves sending them off to trade shows to talk to other ruggies about rug issues.  This is where we are able create bonds with other rug cleaning plants.  So if we have a unique issue we can make multiple calls to find a resolution to the issue.  We have sent our rugs off to our colleagues in different states to resolve issue that we are having problem with.  So in exchange we do the same.

Rug cleaning Miami like I said is the most searched term for hand washing of oriental rugs.  Oriental rugs cleaning is pretty much a generic term for cleaning rugs.  Especially now there are a lot of machine made rugs and a heaping amount of Tibetan pieces these day with fantastic hand made modern designs.

Carpet Cleaners Miami

Carpet Cleaners Miami is the term that is used to search for carpet cleaners in Miami and for a person that cleans area rugs.  If you were to ask me I would have said the google search term would be oriental rug cleaning Miami or even Rug cleaner Miami.  I have an interest in the search term because I own an oriental rug cleaning company that proudly hand washes each and every rug that comes into our shop.  You might wonder if we are just another rug cleaning company that comes to a customer’s house and steam cleans it in their garage, praying that this rug will not be like the last one were the colors bled into the light colors.  Yes, I own a 5,000 square foot rug cleaning plant that is located in central Broward county.  We moved our the plant there in 2004 when we realized the best location to service our Jupiter to Kendall clients would be to position the shop in the middle so our full time driver would always be passing by the shop.  Smart idea I thought!  It has turned out to be.  In the morning we try to have our first pick up in either Jupiter to the north or Miami to the south and schedule all the deliveries and pick up in the opposite direction.  So this means our driver is always in the customers area at some point of the day or at least the next day.

So you know know we have a full time driver, we also have a full time phone manager who’s responsibility is to provide great customer service to our clients. Jamie, who is an ex Marine runs a regimented shop, you should see how clean it is!  Her responsibility is to schedule pick ups and delivery times that are convient to our customers.  Like I said earlier, that search term carpet cleaners Miami.  The next important step before the proper dusting of the rugs is the rug washers.  We have two guys who do the rug cleaning in our wash pit.  This job requires a lot knowledge of how to wash each individual rug/ textile.  Our lovely pet creates a lot of problems sometimes with urinating on the carpets, like I said our lovely pets!  We look at our pets like family members so if they make a mistake we just fix it in a manner like we would for our children.  So this is where our rug washers skill really shine eliminating the smell, I can say we guarantee pet odor removal and fire ordor removal or should I say all odor removal.  If our team needs to wash it a few times to accomplish the goal of odor elimination that is what will happen. I have to tell you we have a few tricks up our sleeves like using roller to push the urine out of the warp and weft and of course we have a special sauce we apply that elimates the oder not masking it.

The next step is the biggest challenge for the rug washer, like any fine Resturant there is an expeditor that make sure everything on the plate is of fine presentation quality.  Our expeditor, John looks over the rugs for stains and odor. If the rug doesn’t pass his test then the rug doesn’t get hang to dry a re wash is ordered.  There is a lot of time invested in each rug cleaning so everyone knows that it is important to get it right the first time.  Of course on occasion a rug dries and it might still have a slight odor, like I said we will have it re washed which will delay deliver another couple of days.

Oriental rug care strives for excellence and our turn around time for our cleaning process is a true compliment.  We always shoot for a three to five working day turn around.  If a yacht comes in we can even do it in a day in a half proving that we get the rug before the end of the day.  We can rush all rugs but yachts are often chartered and need a quick turn around time.  Yep that’s us, the place yachts turn to for quick turn around.  Down here in South Florida there are so many yachts will many valuable and nice rugs on them. My goal is to write articles of a rug cleaning professional. I hope you will find over time that my writing skill will improve!:)  The bottom line is I love what we do and seeing the transformation of dirty rugs turn into soft and clean rugs.

Carpet Cleaning Miami

I hope life is treating you good and that you are a rug enthusiast like we are here in South Florida.  I am writing this article and I will be at occasion using a combination of words that don’t make for good grammar like carpet cleaning miami.  I need to do this to get the seo value for my site so that people can find my company which I feel is the right company that you should hire to hand wash your carpets.  My name is Bill and I am the proud owner of Oriental Rug Care that is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  I would like to start this article off about who I am and why I got into this business, carpet cleaning Miami.  In 1999 I started my first business Pride Carpet Cleaning. As I saw people in Ft Lauderdale were removing there wall to wall carpet I saw the industry chaining and more rugs being put on top of the hard surface marble/ tile.  Customers would ask me to steam clean there oriental rug and in the same breath they would say how much the rug was worth.  I started thinking to myself immediately that I was going to charge them 50 or even 100 dollars and it would be most likely that the colors would bleed for unknown reasons and I was going to have to replace lets say a $10,000 carpet that I only charged $100 for.  I passed on the first initial ones and realized I needed to learn this trade, So I found a company that washed them, they didn’t hand was them like I do today but the cleaned them with a lot more skills then I had at the time.  I would later go to my first training school and learn the how to hand wash the carpets.  After going to the school the only problem would be how would I come up with all this money to buy this expensive equipment.  Compressor, large rubber wash pit, hanging pools, fringe tools, and a long list of other supplies.  So I continued to grow my carpet cleaning company and I made it my company policy with my team of crews that if you steam clean a wool carpet in a client’s house you will lose your job.  I had know intention on paying out tens of thousands of dollars for a rug.

One day I was sitting in my office and my office manger told me we got a post card from a guy up the street who hand washes oriental rugs.  So we rushed over to this plant and low and behold it was all the equipment that was used in the rug cleaning class I attended, the Asrealian cleaning system.  I immediately agreed to pay his higher price for the hand washing of my clients rugs and I looked around this 5,000 square foot shop and said to the universe that I was going to control the rug cleaning trade one day out of this building.

After about six months of giving this guy my rugs to clean he was approached by this company that has been in business since 1986 Oriental Rug Care located in Pompano Beach Florida.  My supplier didn’t have the money so we agree to buy the company together.  We struck the deal and we became partners and I would start going to trade shows because of my commitment to this trade and the need to meet other people that I could talk to that also owned and operated a rug cleaning business.  I forgot to say, my partner owned the building with his brother, which in less then a years time I bought his half of the building interest from.  So wow, I felt like a real owner of a rug cleaning plant.  So proud and eager to grow this business I was.  So to wrap up the story, during the great recession I bought my partner out of his half of our oriental rug cleaning company, then towards the end of 2011, I bought him out of the building.  Now I own the bank a lot of money on the mortgage so committed to this trade I am.  I love cleaning rug and seeing them transform into it’s original clean look.  Come by and see us if your ever in the area.

Rug Cleaners Miami

Rug cleaners Miami is serviced by Oriental Rug Care. We have been proudly servicing Miami since our start in 1986, over 25 years now. We own and operate a state of the art rug cleaning facility. We pride ourselves on how clean we keep our shop, all our clients that come in always comment on how clean and white it looks. White, yes! I painted the walls and floors white for a reason. It shows dirt and we expect our employees to show pride in keeping the shop clean which reflects in the quality of the rug cleaning.

Oriental Rug Care is the place rug cleaners in Miami bring their rugs, well at least the honest ones that are really going to hand wash the carpets. Several times a month we have carpet cleaners through out the tri-county bring rugs to us that they have bled from over wetting or from a basic steam clean that reacted chemicals from the last cleaning which was high in PH. As a result the dye became unstable and bled into the lighter color. These oriental rug cleaners Miami hear about us from the cleaning chemical supply companies that sell chemicals in there city. We can easily get dye bleed out of fringe or in worse case have our repair person install a new fringe onto the carpet.

Rug cleaning is our passion. We employee a large staff that just focuses on rug repair and hand washing. We don’t steam clean rugs here. We encourage all customers to visit the rug cleaning plant of the person that says they are going to hand wash there textile. Heck we will even clean your first rug for free, bring in a small rug, you know that 2 X 3 entry rug or kitchen rug. Interview us by coming to our shop and see for yourself that you will be pleased to have seen that a rug cleaning plant can look this clean and have enough work to keep a lot of people employed.

One of the most challenging parts of our business is our GUARANTEE PET ODOR REMOVAL process. Why is this challenging you might ask? The answer might surprise you! A lot of clients keep asking us why their pets like to pee in the same area. I don’t know about the scientific answer to that question other then habit. But I can say that after repeated times the urine get in the foundation of the rug the warp and weft. Which are usually the cotton foundation of the carpet that the wool is wrapped around. We all know that cotton is absorbent. So they key to our trade is how do you get our ALL the urine out of the cotton foundation, the answer is “NOT EASY”. I don’t know if I’m giving a way trade secrets here but heck I love this business and making rug smell and feel fluffy. We put the rug in our rug pit and flush the rug with cold water and use secret cleaning agents and let our magic potion sit in the fiber and use a very heavy roller on the carpet pushing the magic potion in the foundation. Then we squeggie the solution out and keep adding water to it until we only see clear water coming out. Assuring use that the odor is eliminated. Then we put in through our wringer with ample amount of fresh water, then again through our centerfuge. Then we hang it and detail the fringe. The crazy part is one the rug is dry if it doesn’t pass our smell test we repeat the process. Now you can begin to realize why we need a small army of people to win the battle over odor elimination. May the force be with us!

Rug Cleaning Services Miami

Rug cleaning Miami is one of the most highly searched keywords for my trade.  My company Oriental Rug Care is a rug washing company that has been specializing in hand washing rugs since 1986.  I love what  this trade and you will see as I write this article.  I was told years ago that in order for people to find your company you need to use the most highly searched key word often in your writing like in this case rug cleaning miami.

First let me tell you about how the industry has evolved over the years then I will tell you about what it involves in daily life in running a rug cleaning business.  People used to buy persian rugs from such popular weaving areas like Iran, Turkey,  Afghanistan just to name a few.  Most of the names of the carpets come from the towns which they where weaved in and a distinctive pattern that is a signature of the village.  Some of the most poplar rugs where in there time Tabriz, Ohshak, Kerman, the list can go on and on.  But one of the most famous of rug that where made in China before the first World War was the art deco rug, Nichol rug, which was make from machine spun yarn and hand knotted on machine spun cotton.  I enjoy looking at these fabulous pieces and on a few rare cases have seen the label on the the back side of Nichols Carpets, Walter Nichols carpets who was the most famous of rug manufacturer in China before the Great Wall broke out.

Today, especially in South Florida modern carpets are more popular from places like Nepal and Tibet.  These carpet are more like a modern painting and they really compliment the design of your modern home.  Then of course there is all these different types of machine made rugs that are made with wool.  Just because they are machine made doesn’t mean they aren’t good rugs.  Machine made rug can use all different types of synthetic fibers to give off dazzling looks.  I have seen many come in the last few years.  Actually our business is now 50% traditional and 50% modern carpets that we hand wash.  The best part of being in the rug cleaning business in South Florida is that we get to look at art all day long!  We are really lucky people to be able to work in a gallery of fanastic pieces coming through our doors on a daily basis.  I still enjoy very much seeing the Flakoti’s rugs that come in.  White and fluffy, I can only imagine the modern house it came out of.  Recently we had a 15′ X 23′ white Flakoti come into our shop from a designers assistant from Miami.  Heavy traffic patterns, which was a crying shame, but let me get back to the story.  I was staring at the rug and the carpet and thinking what kind of room would this rug be in it is massive and it’s impact when someone walked into the house and saw it and the bay in the back yard.  I guess this rug would cost on the inexpensive side $4,000 to $8,000.  We work so hard to eliminate the traffic pattern from the rug which I thought we did a good job at.  You can see photo on our web site OrientalRugCare.com .  When we go it wet in oder to flush out the dirt we realized at the end that we weren’t going to be able to hang this carpet because it was to heavy for the five of us to pull it on the poll.  This was a Friday night and 15 blowers under and on top of it it was dry on Monday with some touching up needed on areas where the wool dried to slowly creating browning.  Correcting browning isn’t an issue for us pros especially since water damage rugs come in our shop on a continuous basis from restoration companies and home owners.

Our process, I was trained to was rugs using the Asuralian cleaning system.  That process requires the use of patent equipment that uses compressed air in removing the dirt from the carpet.  We do not use beaters or other machinery that doesn’t have the ability to use discretion.  Once we acquire the rug we bring it to the back of the shop and put it on its back side and use our toll to push the dirt to the surface of the rug, this requires the person who dusts the rugs to use a respirator.  We are very serious about protective eyewear and the respirator.  Fine dust particle are being pushed out of the fiber, yes even on the back side.  In worse case scenerios the dust looks like a fire from how thick the cloud of dust is coming out of the carpet.  After we are done dusting the back side we do the front side of the rug.  When I’m in the back with the guys I am the one running out of the way of the dust cloud, the dust can be so thick that you don’t want it to get in your hair or on your skin.  I have to admit this is my least favorite part of the job dusting.  We have recently hired someone to come in at the end of the day to dust the rugs because of the volume of rug cleaning we do.  I am going to end this article here.

I hope you get an idea of how the rug business has changed, and to get an idea why we love our trade and that experiencing the art that comes in daily is one thing that we can’t get over.  The thought that it took someone a year or so out of there lives to weave a rug and to hear from a client that this carpet was giving to them from the grandparent that they cherished so much can bring tears to your eyes as they tell you the story of the carpets.

Thank you for reading this article.  I promised my staff that I would write more about the experiences we get to experience each day, man are we the lucky ones!

Modern White Shag Rug Care in South Florida Area

Today was a normal busy day at our plant.  Two flokati rugs come in our shop one hour apart.  They are both different quality when it come to thickness but just the same, they look modern and soon to be clean and fluffy again.  I should of taken a video of the dust that came out of the rug, but since the holiday season has started we are getting large volume of rugs coming in from repeat client or new people seeing our building driving by on Dixie Highway.  Anyways our team is now coming in at 6:00 in the morning to do the dusting so they can start the cleaning by 8:00 am. Turn around time on cleaning is a very important goal for us.  I can report that we have a turn around time of three to five days.  Of course management insists on three days.

Since we guarantee odor removal with the decontamination treatment, we at times have to clean the rug twice.

If you need to freshen up your rugs this holiday season and need a quick turn around before the family and friends come and visit let us know when you call and we can make it happen.

I would like to add something more to this story, before this day ended we got another modern white shag rug in our shop that came from Bal Harbor, a 14  X 12 foot that must of been in some huge condo.  Thank goodness for Fido for making a mistake on it!

Oriental Carpet Cleaning Fort Lauderdale

This morning was beautiful and it was a perfect day to dust rugs.  Properly removing the dirt from the rug is the most important thing before starting the cleaning process.  You will see in the video the amount of dust that comes out of the rug.  This rug looked clean when it came in, but the client knew it had been years since she had the rug sent in to a rug cleaning plant.  She contacted us after hearing our company advertise on the local NPR station and plus she said she saw our truck in her neighborhood.  Wow, I was so happy to hear that, lets me know that the company is really getting out there.

Back to the video, I don’t think you will see but the staff is wearing a respirator. We take every precaution necessary to make sure our staff stays safe and healthy. If you haven’t had your rug sent to a rug cleaning plant in the last three years it is probably time to do it, after all you most likely change you air filter in your house monthly.  Give us a call and ask about our monthly specials.

Rug Cleaner Jupiter

Another day here at Oriental Rug Care and it was a busy one.  We had a contractor bring in two water damage rugs that the care taker of the house notice got wet from the recent down pour of rain this past weekend.  Funny thing since we do a lot of wholesale rug cleaning for other carpet cleaners the care taker came by our shop to make sure there clients rugs where here.  It cute to see this tall guy walking in the shop with his fluffy bijon dog in his arm.  I guess I say it is cute because we don’t get many people walking in our shop to make sure this place really exsists. When he arrived and met Jamie our plant manager and she took him to the spot in the warehouse the rug was being dried before the washing process begins, he was relieved.
On another note, we had a call from a lady in Pompano Beach that brought her rug out side to wash because her dog peed on it.  I guess she didn’t realize that it absorbs a lot of water so the rug ended up weighing a ton.  She called us once she saw the rain clouds coming in.  Thank goodness our driver, Dave was coming back to our shop from a rug delivery from Jupiter and stopping by her house was only minutes away.  I love hearing these stories in the shop, the life a rug cleaner.  Maybe we can film a unique Bravo series here, we sure do a large volume of rug cleaning.

Carpet Cleaner Palm Beach

Another morning here at Oriental Rug Care, you can see John here starting his morning by detailing the fringe.  Fringe cleaning is done after the rug is cleaned.  Then the rug is sent off to be piled brush before we roll is up to deliver it back to the client

The photo below is a huge Edwards Fields rugs, 13 X 30, that came in last night.  A client from Aventurahad it in obviously a huge room in their condo.  They called asking us to come by and steam clean it.  No way we would ever set our company to take on that type of liability.  Edward Fields Carpets have been around for 70 years and in most situations they are very expensive since they can be one of a kind.  We told the potential client that we had to pass on it and wished her luck and told her to be very cautious in hiring a carpet cleaner to steam clean it.  Needless to say we ended up picking it up since she didn’t want a carpet cleaner to ruin it because it cost tens of thousands of dollars.  Here’s a photo of it on the chart, actually two charts.  I hope to post photos of the rug being dusted.

Rug Cleaning Miami

Today was a typical Monday with a bunch or rugs coming in. What was unique is a catering company came in with four matching salmon color area rugs that need to be washed.  The driver told me it has been a long while since these rugs have been cleaned and that our company was recommended to wash these rugs to make them look new again.  These 8 X 10 area rugs are nylon piled rugs that were most likely wall to wall carpets that were cut and binded so they can be used for events.  Since these rugs have a glue backing that has a lot of crack on it from heavy stuff on it, we have decided that we aren’t going to totally submerge it in our washing plant.  Instead we will do our signature dusting on it and put and floor machine on it and give in a good deep cleaning.  I know the catering company will be quite pleased when they come back to pick it up.  I was told they have ten more.  We love cleaning rugs, keep them coming in.
