Earlier in the day, I got a call from a customer that I thought was new. He was calling to see what exit he should take to get to our plant. I gave him directions and probably within the hour, he showed up. I was a bit taken aback that he was so happy to be here, so confident that he wanted to leave his area rugs with us without even asking any questions about our 9 step cleaning process, and that he appeared so comfortable with our entire plant, employees, and operations. As I continued more with the check-in process, Mr. Voit and I got to talking. This is where it gets good. He said that he used our company last year and that because we send him a set of coasters as our way of saying thank you, they reminded him that it was time to get his Perfect Oriental Rug Cleaning again. He also told me that because he misplaced our address, the next best thing to do was to call home and get our number from the back of the coasters. I thought that was great, we know that our coasters are awesome and loved by so many customers but this was a new story I wanted to share. Now you know why I said, why to use a navigator when you can use our coasters. They were able to get our customers back to our plant with just one call.
The best part about this entire situation is that today, I was able to give Mr. Voit our newest set of coasters which just arrived this week. Just on time for the holidays too. It’s always so exciting to be able to give our customers, previous and new, these coaster sets. They get this excited look in their eyes not knowing what our next layout will look like. They don’t just rip open the box either because the box is just as tasteful and beautiful as the coasters are. The box and coasters take lots of time, effort, and passion to create. It’s not just waking up one day and saying, we’re putting a gift together for our customers, and then boom, it’s ready. Oh no, it’s much, much more complicated than that.
