Expert Rug Cleaning Services Miami:

Rug Cleaning Services Miami is one of the most highly searched keywords for my trade.  My company Oriental Rug Care is a rug washing company that has been specializing in handwashing rugs since 1986. I love what this trade and you will see as I write this article.  I was told years ago that in order for people to find your company you need to use the most highly searched keyword often in your writing like in this case rug cleaning Miami.

First let me tell you about how the industry has evolved over the years then I will tell you about what it involves in daily life in running a rug cleaning services.  People used to buy Persian rugs from such popular weaving areas as Iran, Turkey,  Afghanistan just to name a few.  Most of the names of the carpets come from the towns in which they were weaved in and a distinctive pattern is a signature of the village.  Some of the most popular rugs wherein their time Tabriz, Ohshak, Kerman, the list can go on and on.  But one of the most famous rugs that were made in China before the first World War was the art deco rug, Nichol rug, which was made from machine-spun yarn and hand-knotted on machine-spun cotton.  I enjoy looking at these fabulous pieces and on a few rare cases have seen the label on the backside of Nichols Carpets, Walter Nichols carpets who was the most famous of rug manufacturer in China before the Great Wall broke out.

Special Rug Cleaning Service Company:

Today, especially in South Florida, modern rugs are more popular from places like Nepal and Tibet.  These carpets are more like a modern painting and they really compliment the design of your modern home.  Then of course there are all these different types of machine-made rugs that are made with wool.  Just because they are machine-made doesn’t mean they aren’t good rugs.  A machine-made rug can use all different types of synthetic fibers to give off dazzling looks.  I have seen many come in the last few years.  Actually, our business is now 50% traditional and 50% modern rug that we hand wash.  The best part of being in the rug rug cleaning business in South Florida is that we get to look at art all day long!  We are really lucky people to be able to work in a gallery of fantastic pieces coming through our doors on a daily basis.

Flokoti Rug Cleaning Services:

I still enjoy very much seeing the Flakoti’s rugs that come in.  White and fluffy, I can only imagine the modern house it came out of.  Recently we had a 15′ X 23′ white Flakoti come into our shop from a designer’s assistant from Miami.  Heavy traffic patterns, which was a crying shame, but let me get back to the story.  I was staring at the rug and the rug and thinking what kind of room would this rug be in it is massive and its impact when someone walked into the house and saw it and the bay in the back yard.  I guess this rug would cost on the inexpensive side $4,000 to $8,000.  We work so hard to eliminate the traffic pattern from the rug which I thought we did a good job at.  You can see photos on our website Oriental Rug Care Company.  When we go it wet in order to flush out the dirt we realized at the end that we weren’t going to be able to hang this carpet because it was too heavy for the five of us to pull it on the poll.  This was a Friday night and 15 blowers under and on top of it, it was dry on Monday with some touching up needed on areas where the wool dried to slowly creating browning.  Correcting browning isn’t an issue for us pros especially since water damage rugs come in our shop on a continuous basis from rug repair & restoration services companies and homeowners.

Our Rug Cleaning Process:

Our process, I was trained to was rugs using the Asuralian cleaning system.  That process requires the use of patent equipment that uses compressed air in removing the dirt from the rug.  We do not use beaters or other machinery that doesn’t have the ability to use discretion.  Once we acquire the rug we bring it to the back of the shop and put it on its back side and use our toll to push the dirt to the surface of the rug, this requires the person who dusts the rugs to use a respirator.  We are very serious about protective eyewear and the respirator.  Fine dust particle are being pushed out of the fiber, yes even on the back side. In worse case scenerios the dust looks like a fire from how thick the cloud of dust is coming out of the carpet.  After we are done dusting the back side we do the front side of the rug.  When I’m in the back with the guys I am the one running out of the way of the dust cloud, the dust can be so thick that you don’t want it to get in your hair or on your skin.  I have to admit this is my least favorite part of the job dusting.  We have recently hired someone to come in at the end of the day to dust the rugs because of the volume of rug cleaning we do.  I am going to end this article here.

I hope you get an idea of how the rug business has changed, and to get an idea why we love our trade and that experiencing the art that comes in daily is one thing that we can’t get over.  The thought that it took someone a year or so out of there lives to weave a rug and to hear from a client that this carpet was giving to them from the grandparent that they cherished so much can bring tears to your eyes as they tell you the story of the carpets.

Thank you for reading this article.  I promised my staff that I would write more about the experiences we get to experience each day, man are we the lucky ones!
