Designs of these carpets follow the classic geometric patterns,
mainly diamond shapes which symmetrically complement each
other. These diamonds vary in size and usually create a deep
dimensional effect with larger diamonds encompassing smaller
ones lined along the inside.
Depending upon buyer preference, Meimeh carpets can be of
high demand on the market due to their color combinations
and simple but bold designs. The value of the carpets rise
as the number of knots increases, and these carpets come mostly
in medium sizes that range from four by six to eight by ten
feet. Meimeh carpets have a history of production that dates
back all the way to the eighteenth century, shortly after
the Safavid era.
